Employee Training
Substance Abuse in the Workplace Training for Employees focuses on the DOT drug and alcohol testing program, the impact of substance abuse on the workplace, and drug and alcohol tolerance and dependence. Our on-site training program also includes information about the addition of semi-synthetic opioids to the DOT drug testing panel and ways to avoid prescription drug abuse.

Designated Employer Representative Training
Our one and a half hour training module provides your Designated Employer Representative (DER) a complete review of your organization’s drug and alcohol testing program manual. Items covered include policy development, program maintenance requirements and general program oversight.
Supervisor Training
Substance Abuse in the Workplace Training for Supervisors focuses on the DOT drug and alcohol testing program, the detection of substance abuse in the workplace, and steps to protect the workplace from drug and alcohol tolerance and dependence. Our on-site training program also includes information about the addition of semi-synthetic opioids to the DOT drug testing panel and ways to detect prescription drug abuse.

Specimen Collector Training
ComplianceOne offers training for both urine drug screen collection and breath alcohol testing. Training classes are conducted by our DATIA-certified professional collector trainer and can be done at your location or in our Topeka headquarters.
Urine Drug Screen Collector Training
focuses on the collector’s role in the U.S. Department of Transportation’s urine drug screen testing program. The training includes step-by-step instructions, collection site and documentation requirements, how to handle problem collections such as temperature out of range and insufficient quantity of urine provided by donor. Mock collections and a written test are included. This class is for both collector certification and recertification.
Three hours and thirty minutes
Fatal Flaw Training
is required when an error by the collector or technician causes a DOT drug or alcohol test to be cancelled. A review of regulations and the three mock tests required are included.
Approximately 45 minutes
Breath Alcohol Technician Training
covers the technician’s role in the DOT alcohol testing program, requirements for and use of evidentiary breath testing (EBT) devices, step-by-step testing requirements, collection site and documentation requirements. Mock tests using the device the technician will use for testing and a written test are included. This class is for both certification and recertification of breath alcohol technicians.
Three hours
Alcohol Screening Test Technician Training
is provided for those utilizing saliva swabs or a screening-only device for alcohol testing rather than evidentiary breath testing devices which perform the confirmation tests required by the DOT. Instruction on an EBT is not included. Mock tests are performed and a test is also included. This class is for both certification and recertification of screening test technicians.
